SplashData  has released its annual Worst Passwords list compiled from most commonly used passwords:

Some like password and 123456 are seen year in and year out but I didn’t think “monkey” would be a popular password.  Try to use both lower and upper case letters plus numbers and symbols in your password. Especially important is to use a different password for each site. That way if a hacker gets access to your password on a model railroading site, they don’t immediately have your banking password also!   Short sentences can help you type your password faster but you will still need to keep track of each password for each site.  Something like “State*ties*UNC$99to99!” could be a good password.
