- Loss leaders. Often times big box stores will offer a really great deal on a laptop. The problem is, there will only be 5 in stock, and 3,000 people in line to get it.
- Old technology. Every year there is a $249 laptop available that uses a processor and memory combo from 2 – 3 years ago.
- Laptops filled with advertisements. Lately we’ve been seeing many laptops in the $400 price range that are filled with advertisements. - Stuff that really isn’t on sale. A NerdWallet points out, there really aren’t many bargains on Black Friday.
