On July 10, 2013 there was a chemical spill behind the Town & Country Hardware in the early afternoon. The Cary Fire Department immediately closed the entire Parkway Pointe shopping center for safety reasons. The chemical was eventually identified as lye. This caused us to close unexpectedly at 1:45PM on Wednesday and remain closed for the rest of the day. We reopened on Thursday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers. We have gotten several calls from folks asking if their computer at the store was damaged. Please be aware that I am unaware of any damages to any of the businesses in Parkway Pointe. We certainly had no damage. The evacuation was merely as a safety measure since the Fire Department initially did not know what chemical was spilled.
Our store has returned to normal.
