OK – I know the stock price has dipped below the IPO price, but some of the statistics of Facebook are incredible.

-  1 of every 2 people in the US are “on Facebook” ,  1 of every 7.8 people in the world !

-  The average Facebook user spends 6 hours & 33 minutes on the site each week and has 229 Facebook friends.

I am not sure how much the stock is worth, but Facebook has certainly made an impact on many people.

For those Trackpoint lovers out there – you know who you are! Those little red caps on Thinkpad laptops that can be used as the mouse (or officially “the pointing device”) – we have them in stock and are selling them for $1. Buy one or a handful.

We will be closed for the Memorial Day weekend.

We will spending time with our families and will be closed both Saturday, May 26 and Monday, May 28.

Win98 in 2011?

We still have a few customers running Windows 98. A lady was in here this morning because her modem finally died on her PII-300Mhz machine! She said if we could repair it for under $100 to go ahead. We took all of her data and moved it over to a P4 3Ghz machine we had lying around. When she came to pick it up, she was confused but when she found out that we stayed in her $100 budget she was thrilled!!

As a note, we do have clients running Windows 98 and refuse to switch. We are happy to work on their machines. (Heck, we still have people running Caldera Open DOS.)

We were quite surprised when this showed up on the caller ID! He is a real customer of ours. Of course, there are thousands of people with this name..
