MSI Laptop MS-16332 Video Problem

Today we had a MSI MS-16332 Laptop come in for video problems. The MS-16332 has an nVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 graphics chip, which has known problems (see: nvidia GPU problems).

Apple, Sony and others are all helping their users with laptops sold with the defective nVIDIA chips.

We just spoke to MSI on the phone and they said they will not be replacing any of their laptops sold with faulty video chips.

I am having the same problem with my this computer. MSI MS-16332 labeled cyberpower. It is my mom's boyfreinds and he brought it in to a local shop 2 times and it stopped working all 3 times. After they fixed it the second time they said he was out of warranty and that they would not fix it again. When turned on the screen is just black. He is ready to throw this unit in the trash. I was just wondering what my options would be for this computer. Are there any changes that would allow this computer to be used in a websurfing/non gaming capacity. It seems a waste to trash it, and you seem to be the expert on this problem.

Unfortunately we've seen several of these come in and MSI still has no solution. We buy them for parts here for about $65. We can get the video chip replaced but it is very time consuming and expensive.
