Sony laptops with defective nVIDIA GPU

Some of the following SONY VAIO laptops may develop a video problem, related to the nVIDIA GPU failure. Affected models may develop problems such as distorted video, video artifacts, strange characters or a blank screen. Sony will repair these models at no charge if they develop a GPU problem for 4yrs from the date sold.

At this time Sony does not have an announcement on their website. But if you have a model, that has a problem, go to the Vaio support site, enter your model #, serial #, you should see information pertaining to your free repair.
