Lenovo ThinkPad T61p nVIDIA GPU Problem

Some ThinkPad T61p laptops use the nVIDIA Quadro FX 570M. These machines are prematurely failing with video problems. The 570M is also known as the nVIDIA NB8P-GL.
Sony, Apple, Dell and others are offering free extended warranties. IBM has done this in the past but as of right now Lenovo is not offering to repair the affected models.

R61, T61, T61p. There is a little hope. Search Lenovo's site for document: MIGR-69684
We're not sure if this covers out of warranty units or not yet, but we'll find out. -
