Dell Vostro 1500 Laptop Repair

This first Dell Vostro laptops have been arriving for repair and upgrades already.
This week we had a Dell Vostro 1500 laptop come in. The unit was only a month old but when our customer called Dell they told them that they had dropped the laptop and now it wouldn't turn on. That was a mistake, the unit is now flagged as out of warranty. Almost all laptops get dropped- the unit shows NO damage at all; if our customer hadn't informed Dell about the drop they probably could've shipped it in for repair. Oh well, at least they were honest.
We were able to get them a motherboard for only $249 for this almost new machine. We passed the motherboard along at our cost to the nice people and added labor to the repair bill and it was done in a few days.
