Error 0175: Bad CRC1, Stop POST task.
How to fix this problem: Get a new system board installed from AbsoluteRaleigh.com.
An IBM ThinkPad T20 boots up. Instead of going through the normal boot routine, an error appears on the screen reading ERROR 0175. Huh? What is a 175 error? Well it is a bad CRC1 stop post task of course.
Basically, the motherboard needs to be replaced. The 0175 CRC1 error occurs on several ThinkPad laptops however it is most common in the T20, T21 and T22 laptop. There are several different reasons it can be caused but the only good solution is to replace the system board.
