Many people send their laptop back to the manufacturer for diagnostics. They think if they built they can fix it the best. This sounds like common sense, unfortunately, it is simply not true. Most laptop manufacturers did NOT build your laptop, they simply marketed it. When it comes in for something simple (like a broken power jack) they are not equipped to handle the repair or will charge you an unreasonable amount. Lately we've been hearing about quotes in the $500 - $800 range. We do the jack repair here for $149 in a fraction of the time.
