Satellite Imagery + Maps + Google Search = Google Earth

We were going to blog this sooner although the beta was not available for download until today.

Google Earth is here! http://earth.google.com Google Earth is free. Advanced versions with more features are available but I will let you read about them at their site. It is a broadband only application. This is the coolest software I have used in a while. I have been awaiting this. Google is going to go far with this. What an excellent idea.

This could be the next version of the phonebook. Google is great for searching things. Their large free resource is going to make them a fortune in advertising....

Anyways, Google Earth looks like a great project. After looking up some businesses I see that it will still be coordinating map address w/ it's satellite imagery although so far it has done an amazing job and I am thoroughly impressed.

BTW- right now I am sitting at 35 degrees 45' 39.68" N by 78 degrees 49' 13.63" W. Elevation 489'...

Technology is good (for now).
