IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T43 (2687-DDU) w/ 15"
We're just wrapping up a customer's IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T43. They upgraded to this machine from a very old Compaq desktop. Wow, what an upgrade! They also upgraded the T43 from factory specs w/ 1GB memory. This laptop is very fast. The unit was here because they wanted all of their old data imported to the new machine, all of their software loaded, their email addresses set up, etc.- basically they want a seemless transition from their old Compaq to their new ThinkPad. They drove in from Durham, NC. The customer was not able to find a computer store local to her that would satisfy her needs.
On to the T43. This one is a 2687-DDU. It is powered by a PM750 and has a 5400RPM 60GB Hard Drive. The LCD is a crystal clear 15" SXGA+ 1400x1050 TFT. For video we have an ATI Radeon X300 which exceeds her needs. A CD-RW/DVD-R Multi-Burner is the optical drive. Internal Intel 802.11a/b/g WiFi, a CDC 56K and 1GB LOM Ethernet take care of any connections flawlessly. Other features are UltraNav, Secure Chip, 6 cell Li-Ion battery, WinXP Pro.
Typing on the ThinkPad is a joy as always and the new keyboard feels great underneath your fingers. Other software added to the unit included Adobe Photoshop, Quark, Office 2003 and more.
This machine was a joy to "work" on.
