Dell 5100 Laptop Repair from Chapel Hill
Chapel Hill, NC- Another Dell laptop came in for repair today from Chapel Hill.
More and more college students bring their laptops here for repair. We offer affordable repairs and a quick turnaround, which helps a lot when you're a student that needs to have your papers in ASAP.
Today the laptop in for repair happened to be a Dell Inspiron 5100. This one was overheating and shutting down. We can not always do it but this one will be back in the student's hands within 24hrs. It was overheating and to protect itself from frying it would just, poof, turn off. (It is a great feature but from what we hear writing a paper on a laptop that shuts off every 15 minutes is not fun.)
The unit needed to be disassembled, cleaned out, and put back together. Dust had been clogging all of the exhaust vents, fans, etc. Instead of the heat being blown out, it was trapped inside, bringing the laptop to dangerous temperatures.
This laptop came in for repair just in time. Too much overheating will kill it, just like a car.
